About DealAware

Evidence behind the deal, with limitations in plain sight.

About DealAware

===== DealAware is a deal-checking site for shoppers in the United States. We started it for a simple reason: a big red "SALE" sign does not tell you whether a price is actually good. A discount can be real, small, or made up from an inflated "original" price. DealAware puts the price, the comparison and the limits of what we know side by side, so you can decide for yourself whether to buy now or wait.

What you will find here

Each product page shows the offers we have found for the same item, the price with the date we last checked it, the original price the retailer lists, how much you would save, and any promo code we know about. When there is no real discount, we say "No discount" instead of dressing it up. Every page also lists what you should still check before you buy: the exact model, who the seller is, the final price at checkout, and the return and warranty terms.

Where we are starting

We are starting with Home Improvement, the products people buy for everyday repairs and upgrades: plumbing fittings, PEX connectors, fixtures, shower systems and the tools that go with them. These are items where the same part is sold under many names and prices vary a lot, so a careful comparison saves real money. We will add more categories and more retailers over time.

How we pick and label deals

When a product has more than one offer, the DealAware pick is the lowest price among the offers shown. If two prices are the same, the tie is broken by a fixed rule, never by who pays us more. Deal labels compare the price with the original price the retailer lists:

Excellent deal: 30% or more below the listed original price.

Good deal: 15% to 29% below.

Small discount: less than 15% below.

No discount: no lower price than the listed original, or no original price given.

These labels are information to help you decide, not a promise. Retailers set their own "original" prices, and prices can change at any time, so the price at checkout is the one that counts.

Our rules

No verdict without evidence. If we do not have enough information, we say so rather than guess.

Prices show the date they were checked, so you always know how fresh they are.

Commission never changes which offers we show, the order they appear in, the pick or the deal label.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run advertising cookies.

How DealAware is paid for

DealAware is free to use. When you click a retailer button and buy something, we may earn a commission from that retailer at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate, DealAware earns from qualifying purchases. You can read the details in our Affiliate Disclosure.

Who we are

DealAware is an independent site run by [Kevin Vo / operator name] in the United States. We are not owned by, and do not work for, any retailer. If you see a price that looks wrong, a link that does not work or a product that is mislabeled, please tell us; corrections from shoppers make the site better for everyone.
